Job description

Summary The Personnel Security Clerk is responsible for performing Security Administrative Services supporting the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's Eastern Currency Facility (ECF). The ECF is a high security facility providing physical security for the protection of BEP securities, its personnel and visitors. CGP employees will work closely with BEP employees in the Office of Security providing support of the ECF's badging, access control, emergency operations, personnel security, and industrial security operations. Responsibilities Initiates the background check process. Processes e-QIP. Obtains fingerprints and accesses various systems to obtain reports and relevant information for suitability and security adjudications. Performs an array of technical, research, and administrative activities supporting the personnel security program. Conducts background investigations (T2, T2R, T3, T3R, T4, T4R, T5, T5R) for public trust and national security positions on applicants and contractors who perform work on behalf of the federal government in accordance with the 2012 Federal Investigative Standards. Performs review and adjudication of completed Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Bureau of Engraving and Printing investigations (T1,T2, T2R, T3, T3R, T4, T4R, T5, T5R) to determine suitability for employment supporting BEP. Duty Hours - Monday through Friday, excluding holiday. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Active Top Secret Clearance. Must be a graduate of an accredited High School or possess a General Education Development certificate. Must have five (5) years of experience in a clerical or related position. Must be able to pass a Background Check and be in good financial standing. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be able to pass a Background Check and be in good financial standing. Must be skilled in the use of a computer, and word processing and spreadsheet applications software such as Microsoft Office Suites and other general office equipment. Must clearly speak English and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills and have the ability to effectively deal with both internal and external customers. Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook. Demonstrated ability to respond to various types of actual emergency situations Skill in satisfactorily dealing with customers. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have demonstrated excellent skills in customer relations.
