R- Description The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is looking for a Network Administrator to provide ongoing support to ensure the continued operations, maintenance, and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN). We are searching for a qualified candidate to bring their troubleshooting and organizational skills to maintain rugged edge networking solutions in support of key principals within the DHS organization. The ideal candidate will have a background in Cisco networking and preferably Juniper experience as well. Primary Responsibilities Support DHS Classified IT infrastructure data, voice, and video systems.
Provide technical expertise to resolve networking events and tickets, as well as update and configure equipment while maintaining a configuration management process throughout the systems life cycle.
Provide remote operations and administration as well as some local on-site maintenance as required in support of secure voice, data, and video services. Clearance Required: Must possess active US Top Secret Clearance for consideration. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Preferred experience with Cisco or Juniper Routing/Switching, and desk top IP phones/VTC's.
Desire to work in a diverse, dynamic, and demanding work environment, with the capability to work both independently and with internal/external teams.
Strong written and verbal communications skills, with a focus on Customer Engagement. Preferred Qualifications Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Windows Desktop Support experience.
Experience providing support to VIP customers.
