The Opportunity: As a senior Naval Engineer, you will apply the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to te chn ical problems. Your work is the li nk between perceived so cia l needs and commer cia l applications. You'll provide expertise in evaluating new te chn ologies, performing risk assessments, and improving the design of maritime systems. In this role, you'll contribute to the direction of mission-critical solutions by evaluating, improving, and designing leading-edge naval te chn ology. You'll design products and machinery and implement improved ways to extract, process, and use raw materials such as petroleum and natural gas. You'll develop new materials that both improve the performance of products and take advantage of advances in te chn ology. You'll analyze the impact of the products you develop or the systems you design on the environment and on the people using them. You Have: 10+ years of experience in Navy shipbuilding and defense systems Ability to analyze designs through review of design artifacts Ability to perform quantitative analyses Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team consisting of systems engineers, electrical and electronics engineers, acquisition professionals, and logistics and sustainment professionals to achieve program outcomes Top Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as Marine Engineering Nice If You Have: 15+ years of experience in Navy shipbuilding and defense systems Knowledge of DoD or DoN procedures and p olicies , including the DoD 5000 process Knowledge of Navy acquisition processes Knowledge of mechanical design standards and practices for Naval ships and systems Possession of excellent written and verbal te chn ical communication skills Master's degree in a technical discipline, such as Marine Engineering Professional Engineer ( PE ) Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Top Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
