GENERAL DESCRIPTION iitjobs is looking for a Microsoft 365 Application Developer to provide high-level expertise in developing complex, SharePoint Online applications and also assist with the maintenance of existing SharePoint 2016 applications for the Defense Client during their transition to Microsoft 365. We are looking for an organized, motivated professional who can define functional requirements based on business needs, produce and maintain detailed technical documentation, and provide user support on technical issues. Contract Length: 5 years Work Location: Washington, DC (Mostly Remote)
Clearance: US Citizens Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience Start Date: 01 August, 2024 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop, test, and deploy SharePoint Online applications using various tools and frameworks. • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and end-users to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. • Create and maintain technical documentation; design documents, user guides, test plans, and release notes. • Provide user support and troubleshooting for SharePoint and other applications, including resolving issues, providing guidance, and escalating problems as needed. • Research and evaluate new technologies and best practices for SharePoint and other platforms.
• Assist in the transition of SharePoint applications and data to Microsoft 365 or other software platforms. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or other relevant discipline. • Minimum 6 years of SharePoint development experience; and minimum of 3 years working in an agile software development environment. • Demonstrated experience transitioning an agency or customer from SharePoint 2016 to Microsoft. • Proficient in SharePoint development tools and frameworks, such as Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer, PowerShell, CSOM, REST API, and SPFx. • Knowledge of web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and React. • Experience with Microsoft Azure services; Azure Active Directory, Azure Functions, and Azure Logic Apps.
• Experience working with the National Science Foundation is preferred. • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
