Job description

Duties The selectee will serve as a Management and Program Analyst (Audit Liaison)in the Office of Professional Responsibility. Typical work assignments include: Preparing memoranda, correspondence, research papers, and other informational material that offer recommendations, findings, and preliminary assessments on a variety of audit topics. Developing formal documents and information products that support recommendations or solutions in a convincing manner. Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop strategies for addressing recurring audit issues and enhancing organizational efficiency. Collecting and reviewing agency replies to audit requests to ensure they are responsive, complete, accurate, and in compliance with established policy and procedures. Qualifications Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting salary $117,962.00) if you possess one f ull year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties: Facilitating audit activities within an office or program to ensure compliance with established requirements; Preparing documentation (e.g. reports, memoranda, research papers, briefings, presentations) to communicate with internal and external stakeholders on audit-related items; and Utilizing established standards or regulations to develop guidance for audit compliance. NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. NOTE: All current or former Federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one), "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility.
