Overview Bowhead seeks a Lead Emergency Management Analyst to support the Architect of the Capitol's (AOC) Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Responsibilities • Provides on-site support to the AOC's Emergency Management program. • Provide assistance in all five (5) phases of the emergency preparedness cycle (prevention, preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery) and all AOC Offices and Jurisdictions • Liaise with AOC Office and Jurisdiction Office Emergency Coordinators (OECs) on a regular basis. Qualifications • Must possess professional candor, lateral and hierarchical accountability, and drive toward a unified mission. • Soft skills, including but not limited to, maturity, patience, composure and an understanding of decorum. • Must be able to interact appropriately across the AOC mission areas to collect and identify risk areas and training opportunities. • 5+ years of experience and strong familiarity with FEMA's Incident Command System (ICS), formal training in any Emergency Management discipline. • Must possess certifications in IS-100, IS-200, and ICS-300 or able to attain certifications with 120 days of contract start. • Experience supporting an emergency response action led by a Federal, State or local Government organization. • Experience using Microsoft Office software such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and SharePoint. • Experience with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program or equivalent exercise / training program highly preferred. EMT certification, Firefighter, Police, Paramedic, Emergency dispatcher, ER nurse experience and certifications considered as well. • Associates of Science degree in Emergency Management (Bachelors preferred). Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: At this time, there are no clearance requirements.
