Job description

Mount Indie is hiring an Instructor/Curriculum Developer who will join a training team responsible for the development and execution of a complex and comprehensive training program for a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Air Operations Center (AOC) Program. Under the direction of the Training Lead, the Sr. Training Developer/Instructor will develop training material and associated deliverables, support training integration in a Learning Management System (LMS), and provide on-site instruction OCONUS. This role will require the willingness and ability to travel up to 40%, including three consecutive months in Oneida, NY for training development in a lab environment (Year 1) and three to four consecutive months in the Middle East for training execution in year 2. Responsibilities: •Support Training Lead in the development of Master Training Plan detailing program plan and approach to satisfying training requirements, including, but not limited to course descriptions, method of delivery, required equipment, course duration and schedule, prerequisites, evaluation, training conduct, etc. •Develop syllabi for training courses based on AOC system components and equipment. •Develop complex training courses on AOC systems and functionality, consisting of formal classroom training and practical exercises. •Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), engineers, technical writers, and graphic designer in a lab environment to learn the functionality, operation, maintenance, and administration of each system and system component and develop training material and training presentation material for multiple courses. •Work with Technical Writers and other SMEs to develop virtual labs for relevant courses. •Develop checks on learning using an interactive multimedia platform. •Work with Graphic Designer and Technical Writers to lay out, edit, and tailor content for various audiences/courses. •Support the set-up and build-out of a customized Learning Management System (LMS) environment that will host all training material. •Working with Training Team, deliver multiple training courses, including System Operator Training, System Maintenance Training, System Administrator Training, Voice Communications System (VCS) Training, Cybersecurity Training, and Train-the-Trainer courses on-site in the Middle East. •Develop training evaluation forms and evaluate the effectiveness of trainings through student evaluation forms, checks on learning, and other customer feedback. •Track and record student participation and provide training reports as required. •Participate in program meetings with the customer/end-customer as required. Requirements: •Active Secret Security clearance. •Bachelor's degree in Training, Adult Education, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline. •Minimum 3 years of experience working as an Instructor/Curriculum Developer for large-scale DoD/Military programs. •Minimum three (3) years of experience developing training material according to ADDIE Instructional Design Model. •Proven experience training on or working in IT functions for DoD programs (ideally Air Force) such as hardware, networking, cyber, maintenance, systems administration •Experience with Secure Computing Environments and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure. •In-theater work experience required. Experience working in the Middle East strongly preferred. •Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, including creating templates, setting styles, using formulas and macros. •Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro. •Experience developing content for non-native English speakers. •Experience generating and incorporating content into a Learning Management System (LMS). •Experience developing checks on learning in an interactive multimedia environment. •Experience creating virtual labs preferred. •Experience working in a classroom setting with up to 30 students. •Demonstrated commitment to cultural sensitivity and working in a diverse environment. •Exceptional ability to translate complex topics into clear, concise, and compelling content. •Exceptional presentation skills.
