eDiscovery Counsel remote - For a top tier law firm client (link removed) The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience managing eDiscovery in complex litigations/investigations. This role is responsible for working closely with client teams to advise on eDiscovery and Information Governance issues. This position requires proficiency in legal research, with ability to draft complex discovery related and information governance related work product. Ability to draft talking points/outlines for client meetings, custodian interviews, and motion hearings. Ability to collaborate directly with clients and other co-counsel to effectively manage client workstreams. Collaborate with experts, including task and matter management and preparation of experts for oral testimony.

Responsibilities: Identifying legal issues/providing legal analysis and solutions for clients. Provide advice to team members on applicable laws and the interpretation of legal documents with a practical legal approach while managing risks. Responsible for keeping informed on new laws, regulations, and industry trends that affect business as well as assisting with the development of policies and training. Annually prepare/execute a business development plan targeting new work. Lead client engagements and teams with little oversight. Coach and mentor junior team members. Build cohesive teams that bring value to client engagements. Provide technical knowledge and insight. Interact with and manage a range of clients.

Position Requirements: At least five years of law firm experience, JD, admission to bar in at least one of the following jurisdictions: California, Illinois, Minnesota, Virginia, Washington D.C., Ability to travel up to 50% percent of the time; flexibility to travel internationally, excellent judgment with ability to exercise under pressure. Strong technical, client management, project plan design, facilitation, and project leadership skills. Excellent organizational skills; strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of legal principles specifically on eDiscovery, information governance, and data privacy. Technology-adept.

Salary Range:$230k to $265k annually.
