Job description

Overview LMI seeks DoD Energy Analyst to provide operational and installation energy analysis and expertise to a DoD client. Responsibilities Evaluate DoD mission impact of various proposed energy initiatives, including operational risk, supportability, fuel flows, and infrastructure resilience. Support DoD client in energy management working groups Conduct analyses of data and develop recommendations regarding the effectiveness of agency programs and to support the customer's oversight role for Support energy modeling and wargames Evaluate fuel and power distribution models for supportability across various warfighting scenarios and make recommendations to improve mission success Review and provide recommendations to update DoD energy policy guidance Assist in managing energy reporting systems and resolving discrepancies Analyze building energy consumption data and fuel consumption data for mobile systems and support analyses of the upstream effects of energy consumption (planning, supply chain) Perform business case analyses for energy technologies and innovations Develop analytical content for written deliverables which may include white papers, briefings, feasibility studies, research summaries, position papers, and similar analytical products in support of the client. Prepare, review, and analyze sustainable energy project and market reports and conduct energy, environmental, and economic benefits analysis of sustainable energy technologies and projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in math, science, engineering, computer science or related field. Experience in analysis of energy consumption, energy rates, and life cycle cost analysis. 3-5 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with installation / building energy data analysis. Proficiency with software tools for research, analysis, reporting, communications, and collaboration (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, to include Power BI and SharePoint, and proprietary government real property systems and applications) DoD experience required. Strong candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in working with multiple stakeholders and building consensus Must be eligible for a U.S. security clearance; US citizenship required.
