Overview/ Job Responsibilities Sev1Tech is looking for a Cost Analyst (Senior) to play a role on a very large program involving network, cybersecurity, and cloud operations and engineering support services to a government customer with a significant mission for security and public safety. The contract will encompass a wide range of tasks including but not limited to: Program Management; Monitoring, Analysis and Incident Response; Tier 3 Engineering and O&M; Field Engineering technical support; and Cloud operations. The Senior Cost Analyst we're looking for will support maintaining a cost model for the customer OCIO, developing and improving charge-back analyses, and designing and developing dashboards and reports. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Participating in weekly cost model and budget meetings, managing and assigning tasks and coordinating weekly project reports Making improvements and regular updates to the cost model produced for the customer Supporting detailed risk and uncertainty analysis, presenting risk-adjusted cost projections using Crystal Ball risk analysis software Updating data inputs to include the latest requirement and spend plan data from CFIT and other sources Applying data automations to improve the speed and frequency of updates to cost model pulls from CFIT spend and collection data Delivering iterations of the cost model, at minimum once per quarter Developing and improving detailed charge-back analyses for tenant applications receiving NOSC services, including tenant-facing input calculators used to calculate costs for future tenants Identifying key technical requirements that drive a tenant's cost of usage, considering distinctions between core and add-on functionality and levels of service Delivering initial capability as an Excel-based input model that links to an existing OCIO cost model Implementing customizations to provide customer-facing charge-back dashboards Developing broader cost modeling capabilities for other OCIO customers Improving existing data collection, data management and analysis capabilities, from collection and storage through data visualization using a commercial visualization tool Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's accounting, finance, business, or related degree Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the federal IT services industry Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing contract projects and tasks involving cost analysis Strong data analysis capabilities Demonstrated ability to elicit reporting requirements from customers Experience working with program leadership to develop budgets Experience providing budget forecasts Experience working with integrated project teams Experience developing innovative approaches to visualize existing budget, current costs, and future requirements Provides initial planning documents, program & schedule breakdown structures, budget requirement analyses, and earned value guidance to program/Product Directors and integrated product teams Provides support during review of contractor proposal submittals, including review of submitted hours, direct labor rates, overhead rates, other direct costs and general review of the contractor's Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Experience providing life cycle cost estimates Experience performing cost benefit analysis Experience and fluency in use of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and other tools used for cost management and analysis Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience using statistical analysis tools Strong verbal and written communication skills Clearance Requirement: Public Trust clearance or higher; Public Trust clearance with Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) or Customs & Border Protection (CBP) preferred Desired Qualifications DHS experience About Sev1Tech LLC Founded in 2010, Sev1Tech provides IT, engineering, and program management solutions delivery.
