Summary E-INFOSOL LLC is seeking a highly motivated Computer Scientist to be a full-time employee in Washington, DC to join our innovative and customer solutions focused team. Job Description The Computer Scientist will serve as liaison between business and the technical aspects of projects and monitor progress to assure deadlines and standards are met. Perform basic system and network procurement, installation, administration, and security.
Use, troubleshoot, and modify existing tools and methods to identify, isolate, preserve, and analyze digital data.
Assist in the identification, vetting, development, and implementation of new tools and methods in adherence to established FBI policies and guidelines.
Develop and implement basic custom tools and methods to identify, isolate, analyze, and preserve digital data; develop and use basic computing environments for analysis.
Draft documents on technical and other professional matters and assist in drafting documents on advanced matters at the appropriate technical level.
Stay current with major new advances in relevant technology-related topics and provide guidance on tools and methods related to these advances.
Qualification Active Top-Secret clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field of study
Minimum 10 years of experience
Required Skills Experience deploying full stack solutions and architecting data solutions in the cloud, including building full stack applications using technologies such as React/Angular and backend APIs in various languages.
Proficient in Python for data handling, utilizing libraries such as Pandas for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, reflecting a strong affinity for data engineering in a predominantly Python-based environment.
Professional knowledge of the theoretical aspects of computer science, and their pragmatic implementations.
Proficient in information and system security, with hands-on experience in administering and securing common operating systems, software applications, and network devices, protocols, and services.
Advanced expertise in intrusion detection and response, including security best practices and vulnerability management
Strong background in databases, including hands-on experience with Elasticsearch (or another NoSQL database) and MySQL (or any relational database), with fluent SQL skills and a deep understanding of database architectures.
Familiar with Linux operating systems and Bash scripting, supporting system administration and automation tasks.
