Overview Nakupuna Solutions is seeking an Advisor For Sustainability. The Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) is responsible for implementing the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) - the U.S. Government initiative launched in 2003 focused on saving and improving the lives of those suffering from HIV/AIDS around the world. PEPFAR supported programs are implemented in these countries under the leadership of the Department of State and through a multitude of U.S. Government agencies, including U.S. Departments of State, Health and Human Services, Defense; the U.S. Agency for International Development; and the Peace Corps. Responsibilities The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Advisor for Sustainability role involves developing policies and guidance, providing expert technical assistance to field programs, and promoting advanced sustainability models. This position requires collaboration across various program areas and sectors to ensure integrated and effective sustainability efforts. Additionally, the advisor is responsible for drafting technical guidance to help teams implement sustainability initiatives. The advisor will be part of the FPS Directorate and will report to the Deputy Director. This is a full-time position. Supports the development of overall policy and guidance in collaboration with sustainability experts from USG Implementing Agencies, the United Nations, and other donors related to HIV programs. Provides support to field programs by bringing together expertise from USG agencies to offer appropriate technical assistance on issues such as sustainability, health financing, health systems strengthening, and political will. Assists in advancing state-of-the-art, evidence-based models and programs for sustainability for in-country use. Coordinates with technical working group leads for prevention, treatment, and governance to ensure strong linkages between program areas. Collaborates with other sectors, such as monitoring and evaluation, finance and economics, prevention, and treatment, to integrate sustainability programming within the context of PEPFAR. Drafts technical guidance for PEPFAR country teams. Qualifications Skills/Qualifications: The Advisor for Sustainability must have a thorough understanding of public health policies, procedures, and regulations, along with expertise in the HIV response and global health funding landscape. Demonstrate strategic thinking to assess and adapt health strategies to meet the political, programmatic, and financial needs of a sustainable HIV response. Exhibit strong communication skills, a commitment to public service, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Be self-motivated with strong attention to detail and proficient in both oral and written communication. Must be in good physical condition and able to travel occasionally. Clearance: Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance is required. Education and Experience: MS/MA in Public Health, Business, Public Policy, Health Sciences, Health Administration, International Development or International Affairs or related fields. Minimum of 6-9 years of relevant work experience. Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation : Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers. Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations. Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer. The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000.00 to $120,000.00 (annualized USD). The good faith salary range displayed represents the position at time of posting and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
