Work hours M-F Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an Access Control Attendant to support the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (IN). The candidate will provide access control at SCIF entrances, escort personnel for various activities, and control and create badges as needed. The Office of Intelligence (IN) supports U.S. national security policymakers by providing timely and actionable strategic intelligence analysis; ensuring intelligence security throughout the Department of Energy (DOE) complex; cultivating and encouraging the intelligence capabilities and contributions of DOE's technical, analytical, and research expertise is applied to the nation's most difficult technical intelligence challenges. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (IN), Security Division is responsible for protecting IN personnel, information, physical assets, networks, and operating infrastructure. Duties and Responsibilities A working knowledge of IC access control and escort procedures for entry into a SCIF. Control and create badges as needed. Sound judgement and creative problem solving and independent working skills. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills to work with individuals and organizations, to include varying levels and types (Government, industry, and academia). Knowledge of standard tools as appropriate; and a demonstrated ability to learn to use and support other tools that may be added or developed as the program evolves. Flexibility in assisting with ad hoc tasks and in adjusting as tasks are re-prioritized. Job Qualifications A minimum of 1 year of experience performing the qualifications associated with this position. This experience may be a combination of private sector, civil service, or military experience. 1 year of customer service experience or equivalent. Candidate will be required to interact with Secretarial level government personnel, congressional representatives, members of the military and other civilian government personnel requiring contract personnel to conduct services in a professional and polite manner at all times. Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, conflict resolution techniques. Proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines and work effectively with tact and discretion with federal and contractor senior management, guests and senior decision-makers internally and externally. Knowledge of the Intelligence Community policies and directives for security. 1 years' experience with escort procedures within SCI facilities. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" and SCI access authorization. A DoD Top Secret or similar clearance based upon a single scope background investigation is typically acceptable for clearance reciprocity if the clearance is active and the background investigation is less than 5 years old.
