Description

The key responsibilities for the Lab and Life Science Superintendent - Wallingford, CT

• Lead and supervise construction projects, particularly in healthcare, life science, or higher education sectors ranging from $2M to $10M.
• Serve as the stand-alone Superintendent for the BYK Production Center expansion and renovation, overseeing all aspects of construction.
• Manage the on-site construction team, subcontractors, and trades, ensuring work is carried out according to plans and schedules.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to develop and implement project schedules, resolve issues, and ensure smooth communication between all stakeholders.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Use project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, and Timberline to track project progress and financials.
• Act as the primary point of contact on-site, resolving any issues that arise during construction.
• Ensure high-quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Profile

The successful candidate for the Lab and Life Science Superintendent - Wallingford, CT

• 5+ years of experience in construction supervision, specifically in life sciences, healthcare, or higher education projects.
• Proven ability to independently manage projects ranging from $2M to $10M.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Procore, Primavera P6, and Timberline software.
• Ability to oversee and coordinate various trades and subcontractors on-site.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a commitment to safety and quality.
• Prior experience in life sciences/lab environments is highly preferred.

Job Offer

What's on offer for the Lab and Life Science Superintendent - Wallingford, CT

• Base salary range of $120,000-$140,000, with a target range of $125,000-$130,000.
• Profit sharing, ESOP, and bonus opportunities.
• Comprehensive benefits package including 85% health coverage, 401K, PTO, and a vehicle allowance.
• Potential for annual profit-sharing of 8-17%, with a six-year vesting schedule.
