Job description

My client is seeking a NDT Level III Quality Manager to assist in supporting a brand new product line from one of their top customers. The role will continue to support all NDT activities as my client continues to grow their group over the coming years.

My client is a NADCAP Certified Metal Plating and Metal Service Provider for the Aerospace, Medical, and Automotive Industries. They have been in business for over 75 years and have built long lasting relationships with some of the biggest OEM's nationwide.

Description

The key responsibilities of the NDT Level III Quality Manager are:

NDT Oversight:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee NDT procedures and protocols in compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform and supervise NDT inspections using methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, and eddy current testing.
  • Interpret and evaluate NDT results, ensuring the integrity and quality of plated components.


Training and Certification:

  • Train and certify NDT Level I and Level II personnel in accordance with ASNT, NAS410, and other relevant standards.
  • Stay updated on advancements in NDT technology and practices, ensuring continuous improvement in testing methodologies.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and overall operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Profile

The successful NDT Level III Quality Manager will have:Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience within the Aerospace Industry
  • NDT Level III certification in relevant methods (e.g., UT, RT, MT, PT, ET).


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of NDT techniques and quality management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


Certifications:

  • ASNT NDT Level III certification or equivalent.
  • ISO 9001 or AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
