Department: The company Product Focus: Industrial Power Supply

As a leading provider of power solutions, specializing in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of rectifiers and other power conversion equipment. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Business Development to drive growth and expansion within our Rectifiers Division. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives, develop key partnerships, and capitalize on emerging market trends to strengthen the companys position as a market leader in rectifier technology.

Functions:

Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies.
- Identify and prioritize target markets, industries, and customers for rectifier products.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities.

Sales and Market Expansion:

- Drive revenue growth by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while actively seeking out new partnerships and customers.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and campaigns to promote rectifier products.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Product Development and Innovation:

- Work closely with the engineering and product development teams to understand market requirements and customer needs.
- Provide input into the development of new rectifier products and enhancements based on market feedback and industry trends.
- Monitor competitor offerings and industry developments to ensure the company maintains a competitive edge in the market.

Marketing and Branding:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing collateral, promotional materials, and digital marketing campaigns to support business development efforts.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the Rectifiers Division and build brand awareness.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop content and thought leadership initiatives to position The company as a leader in rectifier technology.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

- Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to drive performance and achieve objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging teamwork and knowledge sharing across departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and operations, to ensure alignment and cohesion in business development efforts.

Education - Experience:


- Degree in Engineering
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales or marketing roles within the power electronics industry, with a focus on rectifiers.
- 2+ years experience as in business development/technical sales within power electronics industry.
- Background in the Rectifier Industry or related Power Electronics product would be valuable.

- Understanding of the sales and marketing process for highly engineered, premium product selling to industries, OEMs and EPCs
- Understanding of the strategies and effects of disruptive technologies in the marketplace.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the AMSC organization.
