Construction Superintendent, needed for mid-sized commercial construction projects in New Haven, CT. Candidate should have working knowledge of Procore. This company is in the Building Construction industry.

Client Details

Client is a commercial builder/developer located in New Haven, CT. They specialize in ground-up and remodel construction projects - mostly public, dorms, housing and commercial. All of the Building and Construction projects are in and around the Fairfield and New Haven County.

Description

Construction Superintendent:

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Project Management: Lead and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
    • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor on-site construction staff, subcontractors, and laborers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
    • Quality Control: Monitor work progress and quality, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
    • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and training to promote a culture of safety on the job site.
    • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
    • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, including scheduling conflicts, resource allocation, and unforeseen challenges.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Should be local to Western CT
