Job description

The Manufacturing Program Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of manufacturing programs, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, developing program plans, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and outcomes.

Description

Program Management:

  • Lead and manage manufacturing programs from inception to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Develop detailed program plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Ensure alignment of program goals with organizational objectives and manufacturing strategies.

Team Leadership:

  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality, and supply chain personnel.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, providing guidance, support, and motivation to team members.

Project Coordination:

  • Manage project schedules and ensure timely delivery of program milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify and address potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between all stakeholders, including internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

Process Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  • Analyze program performance metrics and implement corrective actions to address any deviations from objectives.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Ensure that manufacturing programs comply with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Oversee quality assurance activities and address any quality issues or non-conformances that arise during the program.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Allocate resources effectively, optimizing the use of personnel, equipment, and materials.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present regular program status reports, including progress, risks, and financial performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive program documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, and performance data.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in program or project management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the industry (e.g., ISO, FDA).

Job Offer

  • Salary: $75-$105K
  • 5% Annual Bonus
