Construction Estimator - Civil Construction needed for mid-sized Building and Construction construction projects in New Haven, CT. Candidate should have a knowledge of subcontractors in the Hartford, CT market and should have experience with heavy civil and underground utility projects.

Client Details

Our client is a family-owned civil contractor located in Hartford CT. They specialize in underground utilities, site development, dredging and other heavy civil projects. All of the projects are in and around the Central and Southern, CT.

Description

  • Construction Estimator - Civil Construction will Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients.
  • Direct and supervise construction or related workers.
  • Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
  • Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems.

Profile

  • 7+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator
  • Must have experience bidding on jobs size of $10-100 million
  • Civil and site/industrial construction experience is a must
  • Construction Management, Architecture, or Relevant Degree a plus but not required
