Excellent Tax Manager from a manufacturing company based in Groton, CT. This job will include, but will not be limited to, the management of Federal and State tax compliance matters, management of sales and use, property, and employment tax matters, oversight of foreign tax obligations. This role is a fully remote position, but they are looking for someone how lives in the Northeast.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversight of the federal and state tax compliance cycle
• Working with external advisors, who prepare the federal and state returns, you will work closely with the business sites to ensure a smooth compliance cycle
• Proactively identify and maximize tax incentives
• Early identification and control of tax risks
• Close oversight of our Mexican tax obligations
• Manage Transfer Pricing defend filed positions

Profile

• 5+ years of relevant tax experience (Federal, State, Sales & Use, Property, and Employment Tax)
• Degree in Accounting required
• CPA preferred, not required
• Strong and effective communicator
• Team player
• Willing to learn
• Independent
