Accounts Payable Supervisor

Location: Canton, CT on site
Compensation: $28-32/hour

We are recruiting on behalf of a client in Canton for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department. In this role, you'll lead a small team, ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

As the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will maintain strong vendor relationships, ensure compliance with company policies, and manage the resolution of discrepancies. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with solid accounts payable experience who is ready to step into a leadership position.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Supervisor:

• Supervise the accounts payable team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices and payments.
• Oversee vendor relationships and resolve any payment issues or discrepancies.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Implement and improve accounts payable processes and systems to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare accounts payable reports and provide insights to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• The Accounts Payable Supervisor will assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Supervisor:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of accounts payable experience is ideal
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and relevant accounting principles.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
