Billing Specialist

Location: Bloomfield, CT On Site
Compensation: $24-28/hour

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to manage all billing functions, including AIA and standard invoices for our client. The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with Accounts Payable (AP), project managers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely billing, especially on large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Billing Specialist:

• The Billing Specialist will manage all aspects of billing, including processing AIA and standard invoices.
• Communicate regularly with Project Managers and department managers to confirm the status of payments and address any issues regarding outstanding invoices.
• Work closely with the Accounts Payable team to ensure alignment between billing and payments, providing support as needed, especially during slow periods.
• The Billing Specialist will work with one other to handle billing for all major projects
• Provide assistance to the AP department during periods of downtime or as needed.

Preferred Qualifications of the Billing Specialist:

• Proven experience in billing (with knowledge of AIA and standard invoice procedures is preferred)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with internal teams, including Project Managers and AP.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• The Billing Specialist should have the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
