We are hiring immediately for a Sr Engineer, Collaboration Services for our corporate headquarters in Westminster, CO.

This position requires extensive knowledge and experience with the Microsoft 365 platform (Azure, SharePoint, Power Platform, Teams and Exchange) at large enterprise organization.

Job Details:

As a Sr. Engineer, Collaboration Services you will play a pivotal role in transforming the future of our digital workplace. The role is a member of the IT Collaboration team and works closely with leadership and key personnel to identify and prioritize initiatives that support and enable business collaboration. This role will focus on continuous improvement and maintaining the delivery of high-quality services with efficiency. The Sr. Engineer is expected to be an effective communicator, collaborator and change agent that possess the appropriate business process and technology acumen to meet or exceed the needs of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and architect the implementation of Microsoft 365 subscriptions.
  • Plan and direct Azure/M365 infrastructure and related components, services, and applications.
  • Collaborate with cyber security team to implement and maintain security policies and procedures, including best practices for collaboration with other tenants (B2B, multi-tenant organizations).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop and implement designs for new projects, and maintain existing designs and architectures.
  • Review changes, understand their impacts on M365 architecture, and ensure that the impacts are communicated to appropriate parties.
  • Assist in identifying and vetting vendors and technologies to improve efficiency and reduce organizational costs.
  • Provide support to troubleshoot and resolve end user issues and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices and make strategic recommendations on future directions in the environment.
  • Conduct regular system audits and prepare reports for management, including license usage.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10+ years of Azure and M365 Tenant administration.
  • Experience managing Azure/M365 using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
  • Architectural understanding of M365 security constructs and data protections such as Purview, DLP, RMS/IRM, Azure Information Protection.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Thorough knowledge of security compliance standards and operating in accredited environments (FedRAMP, FISMA, ITAR, etc).
  • Security Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, SSCP, OSCP, etc.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Government Cloud environment (GCC-High).
  • MS Certifications in cloud applications.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Experience with Terraform/IAC/automation.


In support of pay transparency at Maxar, we disclose salary ranges on all of our U.S. job postings. We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$94,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
