Job description

SNC is seeking a talented and experienced Mission Infrastructure Lead with a specialization in mission system infrastructure such as: Navigation, Telemetry, Data links, Networking, Communication, EO/IR sensors, etc. This position will spearhead the design, integration, and validation of the mission system infrastructure for an airborne platform. In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of these advanced systems, from initial concept development through lab verification, analysis, and testing, to the final deployment of qualified flight hardware. Full-service Cafeteria with planned breakfast and lunch options • Access to walking and biking trails Responsibilities: Support system design and Architecture for mission infrastructure: Oversee the design and architecture of infrared sensor systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and objectives.
Requirements Management: Effectively manage system requirements throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, software, electrical, and optical engineers.
System Integration and Testing: Support the integration and testing phases to ensure seamless functionality and performance of the sensor systems in both laboratory and final integration.
Compliance and Reliability: Help ensure that all systems comply with relevant standards and certifications, and are reliable under operational conditions.
ICD Creation: Support the develop and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to clearly define system interfaces.
Support in Performance Analysis: Assist in the analysis of system performance to identify areas for improvement and ensure optimal operation.
Defining Sensor Interfaces: Support in the definition of system interfaces to ensure compatibility and integration with other system components. Must-haves: Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
Working knowledge of Navigation, Telemetry, Data links, Networking, and communications mission systems systems
Experience integrating systems onto airborne platforms
Strong understanding of the systems engineering life cycle
Ability to decompose complex systems into functional parts, with clearly defined interfaces and requirements for each
Experience in system design and development from initial concept through test and delivery to customer
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Proficient laboratory skills
Experience with MBSE techniques (e.g. Cameo, SysML, etc)
Knowledge of the OMS/UCI standard
Experience with missions system environmental qualification
Knowledge of Agile development process and tools like JIRA Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38.
