Job description
SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking a talented Project Manager that is experienced with government/federal facilities in a hybrid capacity Supporting an upcoming contract in Denver, CO.
SJS is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 200 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; it specializes in professional services to support federal and military organizations.
The pay range for this position is estimated to be $120,000 - $135,000. There are also 11 paid federal holidays, 80 hours of paid time off accrual, medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
Responsibilities:
- Deal with program challenges and promptly and professionally hold crucial conversations with clients and Director of Federal Contracts, balancing the needs of our company and the Government Agency.
- Ensure employees are performing work safely and meeting quality objectives.
- Ensure contract conformance for all work performed under the performance work statement, to include contract performance, schedules, and costs.
- Organize, direct, and manage contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks.
- Schedule employees, review and approve their timecards, and ensure they exhibit reliable attendance.
- Meet face-to-face with personnel as needed to maintain rapport, track the completion rates of performance goals, and foster a collaborative team environment that invites feedback and continuous process improvement (CPI).
- Report on general personnel matters like monthly, quarterly, and annual performance metrics, including to the government leadership representatives. If necessary, implement the progressive system of discipline to counsel and mentor employees about attendance, professionalism, safety, or related topics. Participate in candidate screening and selection as well as processing of any terminations (for example, ensuring an outgoing retiree connects with Human Resources to manage their benefits, generating letters of recommendation, documenting performance problems to ensure legal compliance.)
- Monitor project schedules and work with key players to keep or adjust timelines as necessary.
- Review acquisition documents and provides comments with programmatic perspective to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Other program-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the SJS Direct of federal Contracts Director or company owners or officers.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience supporting a large corporation or federal agency with planning, initiating, managing, executing, and closing out programs in support of an integrated supply chain distribution system.
- Master's Degree Business Management, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Must have a sound understanding of how federal agencies conduct program management activities like monitoring budgets and schedules, completing contract deliverables and regulatory compliance reports, invoicing, and monitoring employee performance and safety levels.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) is required.
- Must safeguard confidential information (both printed and electronic); Must comply with federal privacy act laws, federal regulations, federal statutes and polices.
- Must have a clean record and be able to successfully pass a drug test and thorough background check that spans beyond 7 years for possible access onto military installations.
