Auto Body Technician Position Summary: The Body Shop Technician is responsible for performing accurate repairs and straightening of vehicle frames on all makes and models of automobiles. This position restores damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition. This person plays a key role in delivering on the companies promise of speed, quality, and customer satisfaction. They are responsible for providing fast, accurate, high-quality, efficient mechanical repairs, and is responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization. What will you be responsible for? Performs quality repairs without passing on defects. Utilizes the technical information sheet attached to the work order for all structural repairs, replacement, airbag, and mechanical work. Fit and weld replacement parts into place, using wrenches and welding equipment, and grind paper to protect them from the paint. De-trims and disassembles vehicles, putting parts on parts carts. Performs pre-pulls to make repair vs. replace decisions. Remove damaged sections of vehicles using metal-cutting guns, air grinders, and wrenches, and install replacement parts using wrenches or welding equipment. Do you have the necessary education and experience? High School Degree or Equivalent Auto Body Vo-Tech certified preferred ASE certification desirable 3-5 years automotive body technician experience required. What are the total Rewards? CULTURE Commission, Exempt: $24-$29 FRH DOE plus variable rates for frame & mechanical work.
