Job description

The Assistant Superintendent in Denver is in charge of assisting with or planning a construction project, ensuring that it is finished in a quality manner, on schedule, and within budget. They also develop and maintain a positive company reputation with the design-build construction team, the client, and the community.

Our client is a commercial General Contractor with over 30 years in the industry. They take pride in establishing and maintaining a health collaborative culture within their team. They work on a wide range of projects, this includes remodels and tenant buildouts to new construction, design build and development in the following markets: healthcare, education, office, retail, mixed use, and residential.

Description

The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for:

  • Run/manage project from start to finish
  • Oversee full construction project on a daily bases
  • Coordinate to resolve any problems with materials or methods.
  • Establish and maintain an effective and professional on-site working relationship with Owners, Architects, Consulting Engineers and other parties related to the project.
  • Enforce a safe work environment, practices and culture on the project.

Profile

A successful Assistant Superintendent has the following skill set:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Construction-related course from a vocational or technical program
  • Construction management capabilities, with experience working with multiple trades in union and non-union environments.
  • Familiarity of the design/build process and ability to coordinate people and activities related to construction according to plan and design intent.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B).
