Volt is immediately hiring for a Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO Position Type: Full Time(Contract To Hire)
Duration: 6 Months Contract To Hire
Location: Colorado Springs, CO-Onsite As a Systems Engineer, you will:
• Work on systems administration related issues with hardware and software for different network environments.
• Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.
• Propose system administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers.
• Determines systems requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system configuration.
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.
• Develops and recommends corrective actions.
• May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers. Basic skills/qualifications:
• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration
• Scripting skills in languages such as bash or PowerShell
• Experience with automation. Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles.
• Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower.
• Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault.
• Experience with Gitlab CI/CD.
• Experience with Nexus.
• Experience in virtualization technology, including, but not limited to, VMware.
• Understanding of HP server configuration.
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) DoD 8 570.01-M IAT Level II Certification.
• DOD Active Secret Clearance. Pay Range: $70-$80 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
