Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a System Architect 3 to work out of Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado. PAY: $140,000 - $154,000 JOB SUMMARY: USfalcon is seeking a Wargame Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) Delta 10 Operating Location-Bravo (OL-B) Wargaming Team. Delta 10/OL-B Wargaming includes the USSF Title 10 Schriever Wargame series, a variety of wargaming types (e.g., doctrinal, educational, coalition), and wargame training. The M&S SME will lead STARCOM Wargaming M&S efforts and develop plans to incorporate OL-B Wargaming M&S capabilities (when available) into OL-B Wargaming activities and other supported wargames, exercises, and events. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Lead the effort to design OL-B's modeling and simulation (M&S) architecture and assist the Government in defining the requirements for the approved M&S capability.
Work with the internal and external stakeholders to provide technical expertise to help the Government evaluate which M&S tools (stand-alone, distributed, etc.) are best suited for the OL-B's wargaming environments.
Actively engage with industry partners, research institutions, and other stakeholders to identify technical approaches that have the potential to satisfy OL-B Wargaming M&S requirements and to leverage best practices, procedures, and techniques.
Develop the long-term strategy and roadmap for implementing the OL-B Wargaming M&S architecture.
Develop project plans, monitor progress, and ensure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with established quality standards.
Attend technical interchange meetings, in-progress reviews, and programmatic-level meetings related to OL-B Wargaming M&S activities.
Support integration, testing, and evaluation of new or enhanced space-related software, hardware, and processes applicable to OL-B Wargaming M&S requirements.
Receive training and provide training (i.e., train-the-trainer) for Government-approved M&S capabilities.
Coordinate additional M&S requirements between the Contractor and Government prior to direction and execution.
Work with information technology and cyber security personnel to support accreditation and installation of new M&S tools on existing or new OL-B Wargaming networks.
Report on activities through trip reports, briefings, meeting minutes, point papers, quad charts, etc.
Carry out additional tasks as directed by contract leadership required to ensure OL-B mission success.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years of experience working for DoD organizations.
Experience applying project management processes to create and manage project plans for M&S capabilties resulting in timely delivery of project milestones.
Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information and data from simulations, and providing input to players and the Adjudication and Assessment Cells on the outcomes of simulation runs.
Experience using risk management concepts and strategies to ensure project success.
Experience gathering and analyzing technical and financial data to assist with financial and manpower resource allocation.
Experience with military, commercial, and civil space operations.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in planning, developing, coordinating, and executing terrestrial, cyber, or space capabilities in DoD, NRO, National Agencies, or Service wargames or exercises, demonstrations, and/or experiments.
PMP certification or a Certificate of Project Management from an accredited institution.
Experience with DoD acquisition, contracting, or Programming, Planning, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.
Previous participation in a Schriever Wargame event or other Title 10 wargame.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
M&S tool certification(s)
REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Top Secret/SCI TRAVEL:This position requires moderate travel (10-12 weeks/year), from a couple of days for the shortest events to almost a month for Capstone events.
