We're looking for a Bilingual Site Coordinator!


We are seeking a compassionate and organized Site Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you will provide friendly customer service to families and community members, triage client needs, and assist with on-site services such as our clothing closet and laundry facilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of trauma-informed care, and a commitment to helping families succeed.

Essential Duties

  • Provide friendly, welcoming, and professional customer service to families, community members, and collaborating organizations.
  • Responsible for answering and promptly returning all calls in a professional and timely manner.
  • Triage clients based on their needs, provide resource navigation, schedule appointments, and coordinate and assist with on-site services such as clothing closet, laundry, shower, etc.
  • Responsible for the proper functioning and maintenance of front desk equipment and the security of confidential information.
  • Train and supervise on-site volunteers and record volunteer hours in Better Impact database.
  • Provide administrative support for all Family Connections staff such as preparing for meetings, managing inventory, ordering office supplies, processing donations, coordinating feedback surveys, etc.
  • Responsible for collecting, managing, and reporting on data related to clients initially served on site using database systems.
  • Assist with Family Support work to include helping with utility assistance (COPE, EOC, etc.) to Spanish-speaking clients, in coordination with Family Navigation team.
  • Assign Family Support calls and schedule client's urgent needs appointments as needed.
  • Coordinate, execute, and develop reporting process for special projects/events (large donation events such as JBF, coat drives and handling of overflow donations, and other events).
  • Participate in ongoing training and be responsible for following Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support.
  • Work with Family Connections Director and Family Navigation manager to promote the safety and security of families and other visitors through the active monitoring of potential threats, and development and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Coordinate donation drop-off, pick-up, and transfer of donations for delivery to Helen Hunt facility. Network with other agencies to handle overflow items.
  • Coordinate client intake information and feedback surveys.

  • Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care principles/practices; awareness and understanding of differences between crisis/emergency care, transformation/development theories and practices, and family strengthening approaches.
  • Must have ability to join with and implement a strengths-based approach to children and families.
  • Case management skills and ability to define, collaborate, and facilitate attainment of stated goals.
  • Understanding of and compliance to confidentiality related to information and documents.
  • Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management systems
  • Ability and willingness to work within the established structure of the Family Services Department.
  • Enthusiasm for and commitment to the principle of helping others to help themselves.
  • Knowledge of Colorado Springs and other state and regional community resources.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow directions and interpret policies and procedures to ensure compliance, ability to prioritize projects and follow through.


Work Environment

  • A majority of the assigned duties are performed in an office environment.

  • Education, Experience & Requirements
  • Associate degree preferred, or currently enrolled in higher education classes in human services field.
  • Two years of experience providing human services or customer service.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00 / hour. Salary is determined based on the applicant's incoming skills and experience, and the budget at time of hiring.
