What You'll Do: •Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), data loss prevention (DLP), and security information and event management (SIEM) systems. •Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies. •Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. •Manage and track Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to address identified vulnerabilities and compliance gaps. •Support DevSecOps initiatives by integrating security into CI/CD pipelines using test-driven security methods. •Participate in the Authorization to Operate (ATO) and cATO process, ensuring compliance with security standards. •Stay informed on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, providing research and recommendations. •Engage in incident response activities, including forensic analysis, evidence gathering, and reporting. Why This Role is Exciting: •Work on high-impact projects that protect critical infrastructure and support mission-critical operations. •Be part of a DevSecOps culture, integrating security early in the development lifecycle. •Collaborate with a dynamic team while maintaining hands-on involvement with cutting-edge security technologies. What You Bring: •Bachelor's degree (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree). •7+ years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a related role. •Active Secret Clearance (required due to contract). •Proven experience with network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, SIEM, and network segmentation. •Familiarity with security compliance frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, or GDPR. •Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to support geographically dispersed operations. Desired: •Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certifications. •Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC. •Strong scripting and automation skills, with proficiency in Python or PowerShell. Location: •Must be based near Colorado Springs, CO, with the ability to work on-site as needed. If you're a skilled security engineer ready to tackle complex challenges and help safeguard critical systems, we'd love to have you on our team!
