Job description

Duties Serve as the Chief of Security. Responsible for (all provost marshal functions and medical center security planning. Deploy physical security measures to protect financial assets, government property, facilities, private property, and services provided by the government. Ensure adherence of security requirements at the hospital. Interpret and adapt policies on antiterrorism/force protection and physical security. Conduct surveys and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of Provost Marshal Office programs. Provide crisis management planning and execution assistance in the event of a terrorist attack and/or other emergency situation. Make decisions on work problems presented by subordinate supervisors. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires a SECRET National Agency Check w/ Inquiries (ANACI) background check. This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment. This is an inclement Weather Essential position. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and annually thereafter. This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons in accordance with Army Regulation 40-562, Chapters 3 and 4. This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination. A candidate selected to this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination. This position has been designated "Mission Essential". The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
