MBSE/System Engineer - (Journeyman role) Immediate Opening Hybrid Work Schedule CSEngineering is looking to add an MBSE/System Engineer (Journeyman level) to our growing team! The positions will provide SSC professional services to support each of the SSC PEOs and their respective programs and systems as well as the Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO). Professional services are required to drive improvements to current capabilities through process standardization, innovative technical solutions, and improved service quality. These services are also required to generate technical Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) requirements, and, in the case of SSIO, integration activities across all SSC programs, through Modeling and Simulation (M&S) to improve integration and mission effectiveness. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Outlined below are the critical responsibilities for this position: Develop and provide interface models and utilize legacy Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models (SSC Portfolio Architecture (SPA), Space Operational Enterprise Architecture (SOEA), Space Enterprise Government Reference Architecture (SEGRA), and other models/tools) to integrate/federate data into the SSC technical baseline.
Leverage GRA methodologies for application across the enterprise technical baseline and develop methods to maintain, verify, and validate the data.
Some of the toolsets include, but are not limited to, Jira, Confluence, Platform 1, SSC Executive View (SEV), and Microsoft (MS) Office Teams for collaboration and tracking; however, the Government is open to any contractor-recommended non-proprietary Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) capabilities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Security Clearance: Secret Clearance or (TS/SCI or TS/SCI eligible) BA/BS degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science with Systems Engineering Specialization, Engineering Management, Software Engineering, Space Systems Engineering or relevant field.
3+ years of experience with systems engineering on large-scale space, ground, software, or hardware systems, or Major Defence Acquisition Programs.
Experience supporting overall engineering integration of Systems Engineering and Integration efforts for the Satellite Control Network, DoD, government agencies, or commercial programs.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools such as Magic Draw, Cameo, or SysML.
Working knowledge of Linux, C++, Python, Perl, and Java
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud computing platforms.
Experience performing systems engineering in space or aerospace concepts and alternative design, architectural analysis, modelling and simulation, enterprise strategic planning, or digital engineering methodologies. Preferred Certifications and Qualifications: Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science with Systems Engineering Specialization, Engineering Management, Software Engineering, Space Systems Engineering or relevant field is a plus.
