Position Title: Linux System Administrator Lead Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position Clearance Type: DoD Top Secret with SCI Eligibility Shift: Day shift (Mon-Fri) Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time Description of Duties: The Linux System Administrator Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: • Specialize in the administration and operations of Linux environments • Perform cybersecurity compliance, operational sustainment, and other general IT tasks as required to ensure continuous performance and ATO • Manage system configuration and operation of servers • Manage, configure, maintain client-based computer systems • Perform system monitoring, scanning, and response activities • Perform administration operations and maintenance activities of hardware and software • Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot system errors and client system issues • Perform and maintain DoD Information System Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance with routine patching for updates released by vendors • Manage, update, and maintain configuration management of all configuration changes to systems, patches and anti-virus software updates • Perform system analysis for virtual service health status to include resource utilization and performance requirements to ensure optimal performance of systems • Perform routine scans and anti-virus software updates on all systems • Perform system automation activities with utilizing scripting tools/languages • Provide System Administration support for IT related meetings and configuration change board reviews • Provide customer support for mission test events that could require travel to and support from remote locations • Provide COMSEC support as required Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. Here's what you'll need: Basic Requirements: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 14 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 12 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 10 years of general experience; Master's degree and 8 years of general experience • Must have 8 years of directly related experience • Must have 2 years of experience working in a management or leadership role • Must have current experience supporting the IRES contract • Must have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security CE Certification) • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility Desired Requirements: • Be proficient in Microsoft Windows and Linux Systems Administration • Have experience with virtualization solutions • Have current Windows client and server certifications • Have a current RedHat certification • Have Cisco networking experience • Have experience with automation solutions, systems provisioning and management solutions • Have experience with scripting or software development • Have experience with Operating System hardening (DISA STIGs, etc.) This position is expected to pay $123,000 - $148,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days.
