Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team, as a whole, is very large but is broken down into many smaller agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also, responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading-edge missile defense technologies. As a Automation Engineer/System Administrator on the team, you will provide support for C2BMC Global customers by troubleshooting and remedying a wide variety of technical issues on both Linux and Windows systems. Additionally, you'll be creating custom tools using shell scripts including Bash and PowerShell and automation tools such as Ansible to create efficiencies, productivity, and quality by reducing the need for manual processes. Typical duties include automating the configuring and management of Linux and Windows Operating systems to include implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance; installing software; applying and enforcing security policies; and deploying and maintaining virtual machines in a complex, hyperconverged infrastructure. As leader of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin directs a partnership of highly responsive industry leaders developing and fielding the backbone of America's missile defense. Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. You will also have the opportunity to interface with our key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). You will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals including software and systems engineers, architects, and our project engineering team. As part of C2BMC-G you will support on site at Schriever Space Force Base located about 10 miles east of Colorado Springs, Colorado. With the mountains as the backdrop for daily living, you will begin to appreciate the 360 days of sunshine we receive here and still be able to play "winter" sports in the middle of May.

Basic Qualifications:
MUST have an ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE prior to starting, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
- Familiarity with a shell scripting language such as Bash or PowerShell
- Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks, such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Three or more years Linux system administration experience
Desired Skills:
- Candidate must obtain a DOD 8570/8140 certification such as Security+ CE or equivalent within three months of starting
- Candidate must obtain a DOD 8570/8140 computing environment certification such as Comptia Linux+ within three months of starting
- An understanding of Active Directory services including group policy, Organizational Units, and account management
- Automating windows server administration tasks using PowerShell
- Familiarity with a version control system such as git/gitlab
- Experience with programmatically processing requests from Restful API calls
- Programming experience with an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with containerized environments including docker and Kubernetes is a plus
- A working knowledge of Agile principles and practices

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $78,500 - $150,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
