Provide technical expertise and support in developing and analysis of complex algorithms in support of new BMDS capabilities as part of the Global Agile Release Train (ART). The candidate will assist in the execution, analysis, and trades of Track Server algorithms over large data sets. The candidate will also participate in developing and documenting complex algorithms, how those algorithms are applied in application software, and create and validate as needed test sets to prove proper implementations. This position will report to the Global ART EPM, and be responsible to the Global Architect Lead for adhering to architectural guidance as part of implementation. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher in Math, Science, Engineering or related discipline with coursework focused in Data Analytics. Emerging authority typically with an advanced degree and 7+ years experience or bachelors with 9+ years experience or equivalent; Secret to start but must be able to upgrade to a TS/SCI. Possess an understanding of Algorithm design techniques, and Kinematic/ Dynamic System modeling. Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions. Must have experience working in the missile defense or related domains including operational and technical knowledge of topics such as engagement management, track management, sensor management. Be well versed in the utilization of Data Analytics to analyze system performance on large data sets, to visualize complex data sets, and performing trades on algorithm implementations. Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions. Experience with BMDS systems is highly desired. Direct experience in one or more of the following algorithm domains is highly desired: target tracking, target classification, target prediction. Experience in developing Algorithm Description Documents (ADDs) is desired. Experienced in technical interaction with government customers. Working knowledge of software development processes and transitioning algorithms into production software is strongly desired, as is knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design principles. Excellent communications skills are required (written and oral) as is the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Desired skills Experience working with Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence, Optimal control, State Estimation, Statistical Analysis, Stochastic processes, Target Tracking/Correlation, and Orbital Mechanics.
