Position Title: Event Engineering Product Team Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position Clearance Type: DoD Top Secret Shift: Day shift (Mon-Fri) Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time Description of Duties: The Event Engineering Product Team supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. This position reports directly to the Chief of Operations and Service Delivery, the candidate will be responsible for: • The Chief of the Event Engineering Product Team (EEPT) the overall management and leadership of its Delivery Teams (DyTs), including people, processes, tools, and technology. This includes; Collaborate with leadership and engineering teams to improve product delivery efficiency by aligning personnel, scope, and budget with strategic objectives. • Oversee a high-performing team of IT and cybersecurity professionals, employing agile and waterfall methodologies to manage the project lifecycle of 50-70 annual MDA events. This role includes overseeing a Work Screening Team (WST) that evaluates the impact of IT/Facility work requests on events and critical assets and resolving conflicts for work requests that could potentially affect event outcomes. • Oversee continuous worldwide operations of IT systems and services supporting events, maintaining strict cyber hygiene standards to ensure operational stability and security. This includes but is not limited to, Enterprise IT, RDT&E enclaves, and Deployable IT kits systems and services. • Lead strategic initiatives to enhance service capabilities, reduce costs, and expand customer offerings by integrating mission-critical services into improved technological advancements in event network and system environments, including integration into cloud platforms. • Oversee overall Control Account Management duties for the product team with a multi-task order budget, utilizing Earned Value (EV) techniques and deliver products/services to event and operational communities, demonstrating strong financial management and product oversight skills. • Deliver product team status to senior executives and stakeholders, effectively communicate product strategy, and secure necessary commitments for development and launch. Here's what you'll need: Basic Requirements: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 14 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 12 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 10 years of general experience; Master's degree and 8 years of general experience • Must have 8 years of directly related experience. • Must have 3 years of management or leadership experience. • Must have an active DoD Top Secret security clearance. • Direct experience supporting the Event Engineering Product Team as a delivery team lead within the Missile Defense Agency. • Demonstrated strong understanding and extensive background with various DoD communication systems, IT Service Management/Delivery (ITSM/ITSD), System Lifecycle Methodologies, and Cyber Security protocols. • Extensive working knowledge of the MDA, MDS, and event management, support and execution. • Experience with best-practice business practices, preparing contract proposals, managing large/small organizations, leading engineering/technical teams, interfacing with matrixed managed organizations, using Earned Value Management (EVM) processes/procedures, and managing organizational risk. • Demonstrated experience with various project delivery methods and collaborating with a Program Management Office (PMO). • Demonstrated leadership skills, a strategic focus to build an engineering/technical services practice, proven ability to strategize for organic internal growth, and the ability to identify, attract, hire, and retain key staff. Desired Requirements: • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems. • Knowledge and experience with Quality Assurance/Mission Assurance Auditing, Enterprise Network/System architectures, System Engineering, Engineering Services, and continuous process improvement initiatives. • Previous Business Relationship Management (BRM) experience. • Knowledge of or experience with enterprise architecture methodologies. • Knowledge of or experience with overseeing mission critical continuous operations and security centers. • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications skills. This position is expected to pay $146,000 - $171,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days.
