Network Engineer
Location: Boulder, CO

Job Responsibilities: Designs and plans network communications systems.
Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Conducts testing of network design.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
Desired Skills: Experience in Linux.
Hands-on experience designing, deploying and managing LAN and WAN networks.
Must be able to support 24x7 operations environment.
Security + certification.
Sound knowledge of network architecture, topologies, engineering, design, implementation, and testing.
Familiarity with communication products including router, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS) and data encryption products.
Certifications in the industry vendors Cisco (CCNA) and Juniper (JNCIA) or higher-level certifications.
Understanding of standard DoD security practices such as, STIG/RMF compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.
Experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytic tools.
Network and Linux/RHEL automation utilizing Ansible.
Virtualization utilizing VMWare - System troubleshooting skills.
