Job description

Summary

Client's hardware engineering team is searching for an Administration Technician to support the bring up of brand-new state of the art engineering laboratories.

You will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support and can balance multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

You should be a highly motivated, customer-centric professional who enjoys both general administrative tasks as well as operational, and project management activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an engineering lab, a basic knowledge of fabrication tools.

Education:

  • H.S. Diploma and relevant hands-on work experience required. College degree or technical training are valued.

    Key Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills, to include a proficiency in Client products such as iCal and Keynote (or MS equivalents)

  • Flexibility/adaptability; this position has a large range of tasks and changes with the team's growth and organizational pivots

  • Familiarity with shop safety, risk mitigation, and housekeeping standards

  • Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings

  • Maintains a sense of urgency. Remains engaged and focused on the department s mission and goals

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills

    Additional Desired Experience and Skills (Not required to apply):

  • Setting up and using characterization tools

  • Familiarity with fabrication and rapid prototype equipment

  • Lab maintenance, inventory, and project management

    Administration Technician Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to understand how lab spaces will be used and ensure they are set up to meet the team s requirements

  • Oversee vendors during equipment installation and ensure equipment is installed as intended by referencing architectural drawings and consulting with the engineering team

  • Send regular updates including issues/milestones/next steps to the onsite team members and leadership

  • Maintain a tidy, organized lab space for efficient operation
