Job description

Duties Serves as the sole technical transportation advisor to all statewide or base operating officials on all matters dealing with commercial movement of personnel and equipment. Ensures that traffic management and transportation services required to support the mission are accomplished. Inspects, or provides for inspection of, commercial carrier terminals to locate and expedite delivery of astray government shipments. Reviews, as required, individual paperwork associated with a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) Personally Performed Moves (PPMs) to ensure requested reimbursement on charges are in line with a commercial PCS move. Procures domestic and international travel for both military and civilian passengers. Provides coordination, as required, for the base's Space Available (A) travel program which may include but is not limited to: oversight of the manifesting of passengers, coordination with Base Operations and Security, checking passenger credentials to determine authorization for Space A use, and/or providing security and safety briefings to passengers. Coordinates with functional managers to ensure assets (i.e., reusable containers) are accounted for, serviceable, properly stored and maintained for deployment. Exercises supervision over subordinate employees. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Membership in the Colorado Air National Guard. Compatible Military Assignment 2T000 or 2T0X1 AFSC. Submit all required documentation. Must hold the grade of E-1 thru E-5. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. For positions requiring the operation for motor vehicle, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. Qualifications Military Grades: E-7 thru E-8 or an E-6 that is immediately promotable Compatible Military Assignments: 2T000 or 2T0X1 AFSC Please advise: 1. Experience interpreting applicable Federal, State and local laws, and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures. 3. Knowledge of transportation requirements and systems for specific geographic areas (International and Continental United States). Education Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in fields listed below leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets 6 months Specialized Experience.
