Job description

Solidus is searching for Systems Engineers at various levels. In this role, you will support a business unit, where your knowledge with regards to clarification of requirements, system engineering analyses, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification will be put to good use. This position is located in Aurora, CO.Candidates must be able to work on-site. Day in the life: - Provide technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases - Decompose requirements, define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team - Provide engineering support for the execution of a portion of the programs test program including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation - Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline. - Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program What you will bring to the role: - US Citizenship and an active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred) - Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 3 to 8 years of prior relevant experience - Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions, with specific experience in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis/synthesis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation - Development experience on a government contract - Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps development methods - Good oral and written communication skills as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment - Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Preferred: Experience with - Satellite Command/Control, Mission Management or Planning - Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.) - Working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements databases - Working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps in an Agile development environment - Scripting knowledge (eg: Python) What we will bring: Solidus offers you an exciting opportunity to tackle the nation's greatest challenges applying innovation and expertise to produce cutting-edge results that have a long-lasting impact. The salary for this position is estimated to be between $73,000 - $115,000 based on multiple factors including but not limited to customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education, clearance level, and certifications.
