Job description

JOB TITLE: INTEGRATION % TEST ENGINEER LOCATION: SHREIVER AFB CO SPRINGS RATE RANGE: .00 PER HOUR JOB#: REQUIRED SKILLS: • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant systems integration and test experience or 5 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in (STEM) • Experience working on Global Positioning System (GPS) • Hands-on integration experience • Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems • Experience with systems engineering principles and activities • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Contractor or Contract to Hire. In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers. We are seeking a Senior Principal Systems Integration Engineer to join our Engineering team at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this role, you will work with cross-disciplinary team of engineers who are leading the industry in ground systems solutions. The Integration Engineer plans and performs assignments involving definition of plans and procedures relative to complex software and hardware subsystems and resolves identified conflicting issues. Participates in a complex program which includes establishing methods and techniques, planning and writing integration procedures/sequences and reports, and conducting tests utilizing comprehensive knowledge of these complex subsystems. Utilizes a broad knowledge of precedents in integration engineering and applies understanding of principles of related engineering and software technology to ensure test validity and integrity. Conducts tests, which include collaborating with others in establishing language, database, and computer simulation requirements and configuration management techniques. What You Will Do This role includes but is not limited to: • Develop and execute integration plans and sequences • Identify technical issues during integration • Collaborate with fellow engineers to determine root cause and drive toward closure • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis, which includes preparing and presenting technical briefs • Work in an Agile program environment • Work in a classified lab on site in Colorado Springs, Colorado Qualifications We Prefer: • Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment • Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations) • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) • Experience with Raytheon EclipseTM or Raytheon EquinoxTM • Experience with Java, C++, or Python • Experience with Linux operating system Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
