Company Overview: Well-established regional CPA firm is seeking a Tax Senior to join the team in either Los Angeles or Woodland Hills, CA. The client base includes C and S corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals, providing exposure to a wide range of tax scenarios and industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review tax returns for C and S corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws.
  • Assist in tax planning and research for complex tax issues, providing support to Managers and Partners.
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather information, resolve tax-related questions, and provide exceptional client service.
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss tax strategies, planning opportunities, and address any tax-related issues.
  • Work closely with other tax professionals within the firm to ensure accurate and timely completion of all assignments.
  • Assist with tax examinations and represent clients before taxing authorities as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and industry trends, applying this knowledge to client engagements.
  • Contribute to the development and training of junior staff, providing guidance and feedback on their work.
  • Participate in the firm's business development initiatives, including networking and attending community or industry events.

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and compliance.
  • Experience working with C and S corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individual tax matters.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation preferred.
  • CPA certification or progress towards obtaining CPA license strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical skills in tax compliance and planning.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Local candidates preferred; relocation assistance available for highly qualified candidates.
