Join Our Team as a Compliance Coordinator!
Are you passionate about maintaining the highest standards in compliance, protecting sensitive information, and ensuring regulatory adherence? We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Coordinator to support our compliance efforts and foster a culture of ethical excellence!
In this role, you'll work closely with the Chief People and Culture Officer and play a pivotal role in helping our teams understand and meet regulatory requirements, maintain accurate records, and mitigate risks. This on-site position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across departments, directly contribute to internal investigations, and support our staff's training and development in compliance with best practices. Your work will keep our organization aligned with industry standards and ready to meet any regulatory challenges.
What You'll Do:- Be Our Compliance Expert: Provide guidance on regulations like HIPAA, OSHA, credentialing, and emergency preparedness. Be the go-to contact for any compliance-related queries.
- Develop and Update Policies: Work with internal teams to create and improve compliance policies and ensure they're accessible and understood by all staff.
- Conduct Audits & Assess Risks: Coordinate regular audits, track findings, and assist in identifying areas of concern. Play an active role in developing corrective action plans and keep our leadership informed of progress.
- Champion Staff Training: Help organize compliance-related training sessions, prepare materials, and track attendance, ensuring our team is well-prepared and audit-ready.
- Guide and Consult Teams: Act as a trusted resource for operational teams, offering insights and support to navigate complex compliance requirements.
- Investigate and Resolve Issues: Assist with investigations related to compliance concerns and complaints, documenting findings and helping to determine resolutions.
- Uphold Confidentiality & Ethics: Maintain a strong ethical approach and handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
- Communicate Effectively: Keep leadership in the loop regarding any compliance risks or concerns and collaborate with Human Resources and Operations teams to support organization-wide compliance initiatives.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) and at least 5 years in healthcare operations, compliance support, or a related field, ideally within a clinic or hospital setting.
- Skill Set: Knowledge of healthcare regulations, especially HIPAA and OSHA. Strong organizational and communication skills, high integrity, and the ability to work under deadlines are key.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with compliance tracking software is a bonus.
