Volt is immediately hiring a Seasonal Quality Control Inspector/Receiving for Vista, Ca.
1st 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m
$30.00-34.00/hr

As a Quality Control Inspector/Receiving you will:

Your Role
Core duties & responsibilities include:

  • Perform inspections of raw, prepped, machined, and welded materials.
  • Accurately document and verify quantities of received items or backorders.
  • Implement inspections and verifications on the mill/lathe using a machine probe system.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, granite surface plates, tape measure, and bore gage.
  • Use of Faro arm and Leica laser tracker.
  • Communicate with various departments regarding material received and utilize interim MRP to update current information.
  • Stamp, initial, and date each received line item.
  • Perform inspection on raw materials received for size, length, Mill report and Country of origin.
  • Validate paperwork against packing slips and certificates of conformance.
  • Check material certification to ensure it matches purchase orders.
  • Review provided information in detail to help move the project forward or problem-solve to find a solution.
  • First article inspections
  • Prepare documentation for our Aerospace and Defense clientele.
  • Record quantities of measured parts in the Inspection Log.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area(s).
  • Uphold and maintain a positive safety culture.
  • Allocate parts to designated areas.
  • Allocate parts to designated area.
  • Secure items on pallets with banding and shrink wrap.
  • Tag and label incoming material(s).
  • Load trucks and offload trucks as required.
  • Box or package items together.


This is a Seasonal position

The ideal candidate will have:

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED required for the position.


Experience:
Required experience:

  • 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment.



Preferred experience:

  • 7+ years working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Proven experience in quality inspection within the aerospace industry
  • Experience with ISO 9001



Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
  • Utilize Microsoft programs for details on daily operations and project statuses. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Ability to carry out tasks efficiently and independently, even without constant on-site supervision.
  • Apply practical and logical reasoning to complete tasks successfully.
  • Capacity to understand, retain, and execute verbal and written directions and information.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to upholding high standards of quality.
  • Open-minded team player who is open to critique and motivated to grow within the job role.
  • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-driven and eager to close out tasks.
  • Able to lift up to 49 lbs.
  • Familiar with lifting equipment for lifting over 49 lbs.



Pay range $30.00-34.00/hr

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
