Job description

Duties You will plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. You will select workers and assign tasks to be performed, explaining work requirements, methods and procedures. You will develop performance standards, counsel employees on performance and make formal and informal performance appraisals. You will perform safety management responsibilities to include attending safety meetings and coordinating safety requirements with base range safety and installation safety officers. You will ensure that subordinates are adequately informed of their responsibilities concerning hazardous materials/waste within the work area. Work requires limited amounts of walking and standing. Work is mostly outdoors on the training range or in yards requiring extensive walking, standing, stooping, and bending. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. A high level of exposure to potentially explosive items, hazardous materials, dust, and extreme temperatures is expected, exposure to which cannot be reduced or eliminated.
