Infrastructure Compute Architect

Summary:

Conexess Group is aiding a Fortune 500 client in their search for an Infrastructure Compute Architect with a large focus on Dell Power Edge and scripting capabilities. This person must possess strong skills and experience with architecture and design of server solutions using Dell PowerEdge hardware. This role often involves automating processes to enhance efficiency and streamline operations. This is a 6 month + contract with room for extensions and consultants interested must have Dell Power Edge experience, scripting experience with either python or powershell, and preferably automation experience with ansible and terraform. This person will ideally work 2 days a week onsite in Phoenix, AZ or Pittsburgh, PA but we are open to 100% remote candidates if they have extensive experience.

Responsibilities:

Architecture Design: Develop and design the overall architecture for Dell computing infrastructure.

Automation: Create and manage automation scripts and tools to optimize server deployment, configuration, and management.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, automation processes, and best practices.

Security: Ensure that all server solutions comply with security standards and best practices.

Capacity Planning: Analyze current and future computing needs to ensure that the infrastructure can scale effectively to meet business demands.

Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions to enhance the computing environment.

Implementation: Oversee the deployment of computing infrastructure solutions, ensuring they are implemented according to best practices and organizational standards.

Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze system performance, making recommendations for improvements and optimizations.

Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including networking, storage, security, and application development, to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components.

Security Compliance: Ensure that all computing infrastructure adheres to security policies and compliance requirements.

Skills:

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of server hardware(Dell PowerEdge), virtualization technologies, and cloud computing platforms.

Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of infrastructure tasks. Experience with Ansible and Terraform is a plus.

Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess and improve infrastructure performance.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Dell PowerEdge Foundations D-PE-FN-23 or DEA-41T1 certification is a plus
