Overview:
NaphCare is currently hiring Licensed Mental Health Professionals (Dependent and Independent Licensed, LCSWs, LCMHCs, etc.) just like you to join our team at the Santa Cruz County Jail located in Santa Cruz, CA. Full Time Shifts, Part Time, PRN shifts are available. Pay rates vary based on shift, site needs, and experience. Shifts and hours vary based on coverage needs and can be discussed upon interview. PRN shifts and hours vary based on coverage needs for FT shifts and will be determined by site leadership and prn employee availability. Pay rates range from $45.00 - $61.75 per hour based on Shift, FT, PRN, temporary contract, site needs, and experience.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LCSWs, LCMHCs, etc.):
Perform and document mental health evaluations, progress notes, individual and group counseling notes and suicide watch notes
Coordinate with healthcare and security staff regarding patients' mental health care and release dates
Participate in educational and training activities related to mental health care for patients, security personnel, and healthcare staff
Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-V / DSM-V-TR criteria
Provide goal oriented intervention directed toward management of terminal illness; reaction/adjustment to illness; strengthening of family/support system; conflict resolution related to chronic illness
Counsel and provide intervention to assist in the transition to being incarcerated
Document thoroughly all tasks as stated in client's medical record to maintain social work recording and statistics
Initiates and/or participates in patient education and treatment programs, such as developing educational materials and providing group therapy
Qualifications:
Qualifications for Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LCSWs, LCMHCs, etc.):
Master's prepared Mental Health Professional with active, unrestricted licensure as a ( LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, LMHP, LISW, etc. ) in CA
Can be Dependent or Independently Licensed
A valid CPR card
A minimum of 3 years' clinical experience in a mental health care setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred
Must have knowledge and experience in the identification and treatment of mental health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders, discharge planning, principles of social work, basic principles of individual and group behavior, and a working knowledge of psychotropic medications.
