- Partner in developing and executing strategy for key stakeholder relationship-building activities, such as companywide town halls for BioMarin employees and advisory board meetings with patient communities
- Provide and develop engaging, relevant and timely ideas for editorial content in partnership with Corporate Affairs team members and cross-functional colleagues, helping to elevate and enhance BioMarin's reputation and strategic direction
- Support distribution of companywide communications from the CEO and BioMarin Leadership Team
- Help to guide critical activities related to company relationships with patient communities, including contract management with advocacy organizations and patient speakers
- Coordinate and execute content updates for major internal communications channels, such as company intranet and digital signage system
- Partner with the Senior Manager, Internal Communications to help spotlight top priorities for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and employee resource groups (ERGs)
- Assist team members in collecting monthly accruals and basics of budget management
- Support change management communications and issues/crisis communications needs at the corporate, department and project levels as they arise
- Partner with external and digital Corporate Affairs colleagues to help ensure a holistic approach on internal and external engagement
- Help to monitor and measure the effectiveness of activities and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis
- 2-3 years of experience in communications, preferably with a multinational corporation or organization
- Excellent writer with outstanding verbal communications skills and attention to detail
- An interest in supporting successful communications and engagement strategies using various channels and tools
- Ability to partner with colleagues across the organization and work as part of a team
- Basic technical proficiency with key software and marketing tools such as SharePoint, Viva, MailChimp, Emma, etc., is preferred
- BA in communications, journalism, liberal arts or a related field
