Job description

We are seeking committed and passionate Expanded Learning Program Instructors to lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our East Bay Expanded Learning Programs. As a Program Instructor you will lead and mentor up to 20 youth in an afterschool setting. Benefits:

Pay rate: $21 per hour DOE

22 hours per week

16 Paid BACR holidays- those that work 20 hours or more are eligible for paid BACR holidays during the school year

Schedule: Monday through Friday, afternoons until 6 p.m.; Off holidays, summers, and weekends

Minimum Requirements:

Associate Degree or higher, or 48 or more college units, or pass the Instructional Aide exam (High School Diploma or GED required)

Must pass criminal background check and TB test clearance

Available Monday through Friday 22 hours per week, M-TH 2pm until 6 pm, F 1pm - 6pm

Ability to reliably commute to San Pablo

Commitment to social justice and leadership

Passionate about learning and youth development: K-6

Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Preferred:

Commitment to a full school year, able to practice open, clear and consistent communication, commitment to participate in professional development

Responsibilities:

Support and maintain a safe and emotionally supportive environment

Execute lesson plans that support school day learning

Collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)
